Collaboration in the Learning and Development Field

Picture
Each time I work with instructional designers, trainers, and others in the learning and development field, I learn something new.  The field is rich with collaborative, resource-sharing pros who thrive on finding faster, better, easier ways to do things -- and sharing them with peers. This post is dedicated space for just that.
In the comments, please share YOUR latest or favorite resources, tools and lessons learned -- especially those that will be helpful to peers currently consolidating training into smaller packages or converting f2f training into online events, because collaboration is alive and well in our field!

For the same reason, I have just created a guided tour to Same Training, Half the Time (for those with a copy, and links to blogs and resources for those without one) and will be adding links to upcoming posts intended to help the profession navigate the current reality.  Check back!  And leave your ideas!

Over and over again I have been asked to train separate audiences on the same content. A lesson that I have learned is that training is not easily applied to multiple audiences without adjusting the content. Every time I have tried to train the same content to a different audience I find myself making adjustments late in the game. I've learned to make time for adjusting the curriculum to that specific audience and to set expectations with stake holders that changes must be made to maximize training effectiveness and helping learners how understand how the training applies to them directly.
